Trent Alexander Boult commonly known as Trent Boult is a cricketer who belongs to Kiwi origins. Boult is mainly a left arm medium fast opening bowler who can also bat in the lower orders.

In the 2015 Cricket World Cup he was the leading wicket taker. In 2018 he took a hat-trick in ODI and became the third player to take a hat-trick for New Zealand in the ODIs. In the 2019 Cricket World Cup Boult took another hat-trick and became the first kiwi bowler to take a hat-trick in a world cup.

Boult started his first class cricket career back in 2008 with the team called Northern Districts. Northern Districts is a first class domestic cricket club based in New Zealand.

The next season he got the same amount of money from the same team. In 2020 he switched teams and joined Mumbai Indians and they started to pay him INR 32 million for each season. This contract is active till date.
